  • All the founders used to work in Pune at the time (sometime in 2005) – all with top IT MNCs – IBM, Texas Instruments and Honeywell. They were friends from BITS Pilani, one of India’s finest engineering colleges. During Diwali that year, one of them wanted to spend the festival in his home town. Since he didn’t know his schedule till the end, taking a bus was the only choice. He ran around town hunting for a ticket, but they were all sold out minutes before he reached the travel agents. Pune traffic is notorious and can grip you at the wrong time. That’s exactly what happened that day. That’s when he thought of the possibility of providing consumers the convenience of booking a bus ticket over the internet. The objective was two-fold – to ensure that they don’t have to leave the confines of their comfort to book a ticket, and to help them get a ticket when they need it the most.

Job Summary:

  • This is an individual role responsible for providing assistance to customers calling redBus for various reasons like booking tickets, cancelling tickets or with any other service request.
  • This client facing role is a crucial aspect of the redBus branding, hence needs to maintain utmost professionalism while interacting with customers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • To promptly book customer tickets and disseminate information on new offerings, availability of seats, promotional schemes etc.
  • Deliver world class customer service and build customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Provide effective and timely resolution to a range of customer inquiries and follow them up to final resolution.
  • Meet call quality standards.
  • Complete call logs and reports.
  • Strive to provide end to end one-call solution to every customer that he/she talks to.

Required Skills:

  • Excellent communication (oral) & interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and flexible to work in shifts. (No night shifts).
  • Should have negotiation skills to deal with different kinds of customers and different situations.
  • Customer centric.
  • Able to meet deadlines along with working under pressure.
  • Candidate should be very fluent in speaking English, Hindi & Marathi.
