IBPS

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection is one of the most competitive examinations in India. Here, we provide you with easy understanding of the exam, along with necessary study material, application and selection processes and more. We cover all the four major bank exams which are for the Clerk cadre, Probationary officers, Specialist officers, and Regional Rural Bank cadre. IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) was incorporated owing to a major event in the economic arena of the country; the Nationalisation of 14 major Banks in 1969. After the same Government of India in 1975 set up Personnel Selection Services (PPS) for recruitment of probationary officers and clerks for all public-sector banks. PSS was subsequently transformed into Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) in 1984 as per the instruction of Reserve Bank of India (RBI). IBPS provides its services to banks in the public and private sectors, foreign banks and regional rural banks. It also offers services to other financial institutions, including co-operative banks, academic institutions, insurance companies, and both private and state-owned firms.
