TNEB Recruitment  – TamilNadu Electricity Board is a power generation and distribution company, Owned by Government of Tamil Nadu, India. It is the largest State Electricity Board-SEB in the country in terms of number of consumers. Tamil Nadu Government decided to divide TNEB into two subsidiaries (Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited (TANGEDCO), Tamil Nadu Transmission Corporation Limited (TANTRANSCO)), responsible for power transmission.

TNEB Recruitment 2020 Qualification Details: 

Assistant Engineer (AE) Post:

• AE Electrical Posts: Bachelor Degree in EEE/ ECE/ EIE/ CSE/ IT Engineering OR AMIE Pass (Sections A and B) under Electrical Engineering Branch OR
  Equivalent recognized by the UGC.
• AE Civil Posts: Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering OR AMIE Pass (Sections A and B) under Civil Engineering Branch OR Equivalent recognized by the UGC.
• AE Mechanical Posts: Bachelor Degree in Mechanical/ Production/ Industrial/ Manufacturing Engineering OR Pass in AMIE (Sections A and B) under
  Mechanical Engineering Branch OR Equivalent recognized by the UGC.

Assessor Posts:

• Degree in Arts/ Science/ Commerce along with abilities of the proper reading of meter and cycling.

Junior Assistant (Accounts) Posts:

• B.Com Degree and Knowledge in Tamil

• Junior Assistant Pay Scale: Rs. 19500 – 62000/- PM (Level-3 of Workmen pay matrix)

TANGEDCO Assistant Engineer/ Assessor/ Junior Asst Accounts Jobs Applicattion/Examination Fee:

• OC, BCO, BCM & MBC/ DC Quota: Rs. 1000/- (rupees one thousand only)
• SC, ST & SCA Quota: Rs. 500/- (rupees five hundred only)
• Destitute Widow & Differently abled persons of all Communities: Rs. 500/-

TNEB Recruitment 2020 Selection Process:

1. Online Written Examination (CBT): Maximum 100 marks Assessor CBT Exam: The paper will be of Objective type questions in the Degree Standard (Arts/ Science/ Commerce). The paper will be in English
   whereas some sections will be in Tamil.

• AE CBT Exam: The question paper will be of Objective type in the Engineering Standard. For Electrical Engg., it will be in English and for Mechanical and
  Civil it will be in English as well as Tamil.
• JA Accounts CBT Exam: The online exam paper will have Objective type questions from the Degree Standard (B.Com.) and it will be in English whereas in
  some sections will be in the Tamil Language

2. Verification of Certificates: It will be in qualifying nature. For certificate verification, shortlisted candidates will get an invitation in the ratio of 1:1 as per the
marks scored in the Written Exam and as per Communal roster.
